COLIN STAINES - RIP

It is with sadness that we learn of the passing of Colin Staines who died peacefully at his home in Devon on Wednesday, 4th March. Colin was an integral part of Beaconsfield Rugby life back in the late 70’s and 80’s earning the nickname Crazy Horse, a term of endearment that he lived up to both on and off the field of play and particularly on tour! Colin, older brother of the late lamented club man Ian, moved down to Devon some years ago but remained a popular and fervent supporter of the club throughout.

Members joined the 1^st XV before their league match kicked off on Saturday for a moment of applause as a mark of appreciation of Colin’s life and his contribution to the DNA of the club.
